Mixing is an undoubtedly creative process, and a lot depends on the skill and imagination of the mix engineer. But let us not forget that successful mixing relies also on the quality of arrangement, quality of performance and quality of the recorded tracks. Even the most talented mix engineer cannot make a high-quality mix out of low-quality tracks. This can be compared to cooking a dish from spoiled ingredients.

My name is Kanstantsin Kulesh, I’m a freelance mix engineer, producer, founder and co-owner of ”Super8” recording studio.

I’ve been involved in mixing for seven years, started in 2000 as an assistant engineer at Selax Studio (World of Christian Music).

Since 2001, when I became an independent mix engineer, I’ve worked with large number of the singers, bands and performers including U.D.O., Leprikonsy, Russki Razmer, Dmitry Nagiev, Po glazam, Neo, Drozdy, and many others. My mixes are played on the biggest russian and belarusian FM stations, such as ”Russkoe Radio” and ”Nashe Radio”.

I helped to create award winning tunes for top rated TV-shows like ”Fabrika zvezd” (russian version of ”American Idol”) and the music contest ”5 zvezd”.
